  Frequently Asked Questions
Q.1 What payment types do you accept?
We accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Full payment is expected at time of service unless other  arrangements are made prior to the project cleaning.
Q.2 Are you prepared to return your leased or rental car?
When you return your Lease or a rental vehicle, it will be inspected for excess wear. Since excess wear could mean additional charges, you should know the difference between “normal” and “excess” wear. Be sure to show a car in good shape. Remember, that  excessively dirty cars are not acceptable to the lease company and they expect them to be returned clean. If fact, they have had them cleaned at your expense. So why pay EXTRA!
Q.3 How often should I wax my car?
If you wash your vehicle every week, a wax should be applied at least once a month to protect the paint coat. Waxing every 30-day is sufficient for vehicles exposed to the highest level of environmental elements (like UV Rays and acid rain).
Q.4 Does car wax remove the top layer of paint or does car wax add a layer to the paint?
Applying a wax product to your vehicle's finish will not remove paint from your vehicle. Wax contains mild cleaning agents to remove waxy buildup and add a protective layer to your finish.
Q.5 Is there a difference between liquid and paste wax?
No, there is no difference. These two options exists because some people prefer liquid wax due to the ease of applications, where others feel paste wax gives them better results. We only use professional eco-friendly wax.
Q.6 Will my exterior mirrors be okay?
Yes. Factory installed exterior mirrors are completely safe as long as they are in proper working order and do not have any pre-existing damage.
Q.7 Is a recently painted vehicle okay?

Yes. All of the materials that touch the surface of your paint are cloth and the wash solutions are mild so newly painted surfaces are safe. Ask about our outstanding Paint Polishing System to keep it looking new.

Q.8 Will my alloy wheels be okay?

Yes. Most manufacturers of factory-installed polished aluminum wheels recommend that you do not use cleaning solutions that contain any acids, which can stain them. Auto City Car Wash does not use any acid or acid-based cleaning solutions on the wheels or any part of the car.

Q.9 Is a cracked window a problem?

Whenever the integrity of a glass surface, such as a windshield, is compromised (weakened or changed) by small cracks, rock chips - even very small ones - it becomes more susceptible to changes in temperatures. It is usually very safe to wash your vehicle with such imperfections in your windshield, but the cracks and chips can expand from the change in temperature during the wash process. We are not responsible for repair or replacement of windshields with pre-existing damage of any kind.

Q.10 Are valuables in my vehicle okay?
We are not responsible for ANY valuables left in your vehicle while on our premises, during the wash process or not. If you are concerned about anything that is left in your vehicle, please remove it before turning it over to our employees.
Q.11 Will my license plate be okay?
Yes, as long they are in good condition, affixed properly, all of the screws are firmly tightened and do not have any pre-existing damage or wear. We are not responsible for repair or replacement of any pre-existing damage of any kind.
Q.12 Can you wash my convertible?
Yes, please make sure the roof is latched properly. We are not responsible for any damages done due to an improperly latched roof.
Q.13 Will my antenna be okay?
Yes, factory installed antennas are safe provided they are affixed properly and are in good working condition.
Q.14 Will my bug shield be okay?
Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for after-market products that are made of plastic. We wash virtually hundreds of vehicles with bug shields without incident; however, these products are extremely subject to hard-to-detect stress cracks and chips, especially near or around the installation hardware. Also, many are made of low-grade plastics that deteriorate quickly and damage too easily.
Q.15 Is Auto City Car Wash Touch less or Brushless?

Auto City Car Wash provides a trademarked Soft touch Quality wash. What this means is the materials used in our wash tunnel that touch your vehicle's finish, are Cloth. We have proved over the years that this is the safest and most efficient method to clean your vehicle.

Q.16 Are your cleaning products safe?
Yes. The cleaning solutions and products that we use at Auto City Car Wash are safe and approved by nearly all of the new car manufacturers across the globe. We do not use any caustic or acid-based chemicals. We use only gentle shampoos, liquid waxes, and protectants that are eco-friendly.
Q.17 Will the wash remove disc brake dust?
Yes, most of our wash packages include having the wheels cleaned and most of the brake dust will come off. However, we need to define "Wheel Cleaning". Certain wash packages include the application of a safe, non-acid based wheel cleaning solution sprayed on and pressure rinsed prior to the wash process. Though this does a really great job, brake dust that has accumulated and been left on for a long period of time can be extremely hard to remove. Many vehicles have particularly tough brake dust residue to remove. If your wheels have brake dust that will not come off in this initial process, we have a definitive Wheel Cleaning Service that will usually take care of it. (Note: In some cases brake dust will "STAIN" alloy and steel wheels if left on too long. We cannot guarantee that stained wheels can be completely cleaned).
Q.18 Is car washing safe for the environment?
Absolutely! At Auto City Car Wash all of our soaps and waxes are biodegradable, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. In fact, it is much safer for the environment to wash your car at a professional car wash than in your driveway. Because we control the flow rate and the water pressure, we use far less water per car than washing at home.
Q.19 What is the best way to protect my car from salt and rust?
By washing not only the top of the car but also the bottom. We recommend an under carriage wash at least once a month. The under carriage wash is a high-pressure rinse that flushes all of the salt and road grime form the under body of your car.
Q.20 How often do I need to wash my car?
Many variables contribute to the frequency of washing of a car: road conditions, weather, where you are driving, and personal preference all play a role. In general, we recommend washing about twice a week and more frequently during the winter, with an application of a wax and undercarriage at least every other wash. This will add a protective shine to your car’s finish and keep it looking like new.
Q.21 Will an application of spray wax actually make a difference?
YES! All spray wax application provides a buffer between the painted surface and the elements. Different applications provide better protection. If you demand the BEST, ask for our RAIN X Complete surface protectant. RAIN X Complete gives your vehicle increased shine, the best surface protection and water repellency for safer driving in poor weather. RAIN X Complete is engineered to create a water repellent layer that chemically bonds to all exterior vehicle surfaces, including glass, paint, trim and plastics. A treatment of Rain X Complete helps level out the microscopic surface irregularities on the surfaces of your vehicle to enhance shine and water beading.
Q.22 Are you open on weekends?
Yes, we are open on weekends.
